Week 2 ~ My Teachers Should Totally Get Married

Hello everyone!

Elder Spackman is back for another P-day—my last day at home, which is definitely crazy to think about. To be honest, the home MTC wasn't even that bad. It was just sitting in one spot for 12 hours and paying attention. My district is all flying to Salt Lake today, which is crazy because I only have a 40-minute drive, while some of these guys are flying from across the country. That’s definitely motivating for me.

Highlights: Like the name of the email suggests, our teachers are perfect for each other. I really hope they get married because being in their class is super spiritual and a little bit rom-com-ish. My whole district has picked up on it, and we are all cheering them on from the sidelines.

Changing subjects, my companion is actually incredible at guitar. Elder Lybbert and I also gave our first lesson in English, and I'd say we did pretty well. God couldn't have blessed me with a better companion for the MTC, although he is a BYU and Kansas City Chiefs fan, which is the polar opposite of me—I'm a 49ers and University of Utah fan.

Lowlights: I'm definitely going to miss living at home and the home-cooked food, as well as my family, whom I will definitely miss more than the food. Other than that, I'm excited to serve my King with all my strength. Also, Tagalog makes literally zero sense; it's so confusing, and it's definitely going to be hard to learn. But I'm also really ready to take on that challenge and learn it. Calder told me to add more photos; I promise that I will.

Best regards to you all—I love you all.
