Week 17 ~ Daraga Dawgs (New Area who dis?)

Another week, another area for me. This area's name is Daraga, or literally the biggest city in the mission. It's on the complete left side of Legazpi City, which has a population of around 400,000 people, if you include the surrounding area so maraming mga tao dito.

My first impression of this area is that there are lots of hills. We walked up to a buddhist monk temple to get to some people, to only be rejected. It's truly humbling walking up massive hills then getting rejected. Pero, the good part about being here is drum rolllllllllll please....... Jollibee and Mcdonalds!!!! As well as this being the biggest LLC in the bicol region of the Philippines. So all of your Elder Spackman needs are taken care of.

Saying goodbye to Elder Villanueva was tough because that's my dawg, good thing I have another Filipino kasama to help me when people speak and di ko alam (I don't know what) they are saying. My new companion is Elder Solidum. He's pretty cool and can speak multiple languages. Another cool thing I get to flex on the other Philippine missions is Elder Rasband of the Quorum of the 12 is doing a meeting for our mission!

Spiritual thought para sa inyo:

My spiritual thought this week has been centered around how we can center Jesus Christ in our lives. Before my mission, I didn't really center my life around Jesus Christ, I centered my life around the things of this world. But as I've served my mission I've found the deep joy that is Jesus Christ, Or rather, the gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel of Jesus Christ really is a blessing for all people regardless of anything. I bear my witness to Jesus Christ and the power of His Priesthood.
