Week 18 ~ Gird Them Loins
This week actually flew by and grabe namin (wow!) we are in another one!
This area has been a grind, trying to find and teach here is pretty difficult, but it's taught me great lessons.
I guess a funny thing that happened this week was some drunk Tatay walked up to me and started talking in drunkin' Tagalog and I have a hard time understanding regular Tagalog, but, to my understanding, I think he was having fun. He told me to come back sooooooo maybe return lesson? Joke-lang.
We had four people attend sacrament who aren't members so the work's going, just got to keep them on the path to baptism and more importantly on the path to lifelong covenants and church members which leads me into my spiritual thought.
Elder Spackman's spiritual thought para sa inyo (for you):
Two things that have really been on my mind lately is how this church is the restored church of Jesus Christ. I feel as if sometimes we often glance over that because we have the Book of Mormon. However, this church is the same church that Jesus Established here on earth. What a blessing, no other church has a prophet and 12 apostles called by God.
My promise to everyone is, if you read the Book of Mormon with an open heart I give a solemn witness you will feel the Spirit and feel the truthfulness of the principles and doctrine of Jesus Christ's gospel. The Bible and Book of Mormon Support each other. My companion often uses 1 Ephesians 4:5- "One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism". This scripture verse is talking about how Jesus Christ restored the Church. I could go on and on with how the doctrine of this Church is supported in the Bible, and how the Book of Mormon magnifies the most important event of all, The Atonement of Jesus Christ.
Rant over :)
Love you guys. Have a great week!
It's better in person, but words can't express the beauty.
Me and Elder Solidum
Little story at the end here, I had just got my Jollibee and I'm walking up the stairs and there I see a pogi Elder and I immediately knew it was my guy! Elder Villanueva! I was so happy to see him, it made my week.
