Week 58 ~ I Survived the Super Typhoon

Hello Everyone, I love you all!!!

This week has been really good, I've seen a lot of Miracles in my mission this week. The first of those Miracles was my companion Elder Saavedra. He is super awesome and handsome, or so he tells me. He is a joker but we have the same humor so life has been fun lately. He is also a really good cook so that helps, too. 

I was transferred back to a city, and I thought Daraga was big but this city has 4 LCC so it's much bigger. There is also a lot more to do here, so I'm happy because I like seeing people and being around people as opposed to being in rice fields in the middle of nowhere. Also, McDonald's and Jolliebee, so masaya ako talaga.  

Funny story that happened here is a Nanay told me she has a talent for reading hands. So of course I offered her my hand and she promptly told me my future wife wasn't going to be of my race. She also told me that i'm going to get married fast, I left that wondering what pattern on my hand told her that, maybe she was trying to set me up with her granddaughter or something, but now my companion is joking about me marrying a fillipina. 

A miracle I've seen here is the strength of the members here, I wish everyone reading this email could come to sacrament here. So many people talaga, the church is growing so fast here. I'm so grateful to be a part of this work, We have visited some of our new friends and they are all so kind.

Elder Spackman
