Week 64 ~ Happy New Year!!

Image
Casual na ako pero wassup everyone???  Happy new year to everyone and hope you all are doing fantastic!!! First I just wanna say Christmas was lit this year, even though it was just me and my companion we still had a lot of fun and ate lots of food at our apartment. So much has happened but I'd just like to say the work here in the Pines is going well. People here are so kind and usually I don't talk about that (cause we are getting rejected constantly) but they really are amazing. The miracles we see every day no matter how small are amazing. We went caroling and had so much fun singing to everyone. Even though it's kinda embarrassing (I would get 5 X'd on America's Got Talent fs) it was still great.  Anyway kinda long email, But I have an invitation: If Jesus Christ was going to return on New Years, what in your life would you change? Would you repent more? Be more honest and give to your fellow men? Tomorrow isn't promised, but I know that if you apply this t...

Week 62 ~ 1st Phone Down

Image
My phone fell out of my pocket on a tricy last week and the screen is completly cooked. It's expensive to replace so I guess I'll wait to see if they'll give me a new one. Pray for me and that they won't charge me 2000 pesos  Anyway what's up people? Masaya pa din ako, although the phone thing is annoying, cuz it's like we're in the old days with one phone. I never realized how convenient it is to have two phones. Updating the PMG and texting our friends is so much faster. With one it takes so much longer, talaga.  Right now we are struggling, because in the city it's really hard to have friends to come to church. If you're out in the rice fields or an area like that, people for the most part aren't busy, but if you're in the city the people always have school, work or have to do laundry. So it's a little bit harder here because there's so many more challenges but maganda pa din talaga. BUTTTT our success is that we had some friends c...

Week 61 ~ Noah's Flood

Image
It has rained so much this week I wouldn't doubt that someone somewhere on earth has built an ark to survive. Anyway Hello everyone, Been awhile but in the famous words of Pearl jam "Heyyyyy ohhhhhh, I'm still alive". More than alive, Masaya pa din (still happy also), Let's get to the weekly recap now: - I've probably spent a hundred million dollars on Jollibee and Mcdonalds and I don't regret it. If you're wondering what my order is, it's two chicken sandwiches, medium fries, Large coke float, and chocolate sundae.  -We walked through a sketchy area and a bald old man in a dress cat called me, saying something about how he wants to hook up with an American. The Spirit had me leave as fast as I could, I felt like Joseph running from Pharaoh's wife.  -One of our friends has a guitar, and my comp taught me basic chords. Now I'm obsessed and want to buy a guitar so I'll let y'all know my progress. It's not hard because I know piano...
