Week 61 ~ Noah's Flood
It has rained so much this week I wouldn't doubt that someone somewhere on earth has built an ark to survive. Anyway Hello everyone, Been awhile but in the famous words of Pearl jam "Heyyyyy ohhhhhh, I'm still alive". More than alive, Masaya pa din (still happy also), Let's get to the weekly recap now:
- I've probably spent a hundred million dollars on Jollibee and Mcdonalds and I don't regret it. If you're wondering what my order is, it's two chicken sandwiches, medium fries, Large coke float, and chocolate sundae.
-We walked through a sketchy area and a bald old man in a dress cat called me, saying something about how he wants to hook up with an American. The Spirit had me leave as fast as I could, I felt like Joseph running from Pharaoh's wife.
-One of our friends has a guitar, and my comp taught me basic chords. Now I'm obsessed and want to buy a guitar so I'll let y'all know my progress. It's not hard because I know piano, but my fingers are small so it's like playing a game of twister with my fingers to play cords.
- Our friends came to church and accepted the invitation to be baptized
, but we haven't given them a date yet.
, but we haven't given them a date yet. Spiritual thought: Purpose. That's the reason we stay motivated, want to live, to accomplish our purpose. Many different people have different purposes, and our religious identity as members of different churches and belief is merged and constitutes our purpose as sons and daughters of God. Even if you were to ask an atheist what their purpose was, they'd have one. My point being is that we can choose our purpose, if it be the will of our own, or the will of God. I've been thinking about that a lot, maybe that's what some people are missing, or don't have. The right purpose in life. As we observe depression and anxiety, insecurity and other similarities, mental
illnesses run rampant in today's society. But I know that if people align their purpose with God's purpose we can overcome our challenges.
Have a great week,
Elder Spackman
