Week 81 ~ Kamusta ang buhay buhay bro? (Also I dyed my hair 4 weeks ago)

The title is a phrase I have maybe heard a million times in the Philippines, and it means something to the effect of "How's your living" which makes no sense in English but yeah, I didn't know what to title my email so I picked at random. Anyway let's get to the life updates!

Living like a mission in 1937:

Well my phone's been broken, like not actually but the software's been cooked. So I've had no phone for the past five weeks, which is okay. I say that but it's not, because I think what happened is that Elon Musk realized the Filipinos were using Starlink for their wifi here and not paying royalties to Tesla, so as of last week all of the internet  has gotten cut off. The internet still hasn't returned and we are living in probably for my money, the most rural place you can possibly get assigned as a missionary anywhere in the world. Like the ZL's visited our island and one of them told me "Elder I couldn't do this. I'm only here for one day and I'm already worried for my safety". So yeah, Batan isn't for the weak but it's cool, Marahay naman ako digdi sa batan eh?
Another update: Fiesta is this week ðŸ¥³ðŸ¥³ðŸ¥³

Pretty much they are going to kill lots of pigs and then cook them into lechen. It's like whenever you see in a movie a pig with an apple in its mouth. Every day actually they've started killing a pig outside of our apartment, and if you've ever heard a pig die, it literally is the loudest thing in the world. It reminds me of what would've happened to Wilmer in Charlotte's Web. Guys these pigs know what's going to happen to them ðŸ˜, it's so sad but they taste good so it only matters a little.

The island hospital is set to be completed on april 28th. I walked by it, and it's not terrible for Batan. Of course there isn't an ambulance or anything but at least we have a small hospital now.

The church has entered into a basketball tournament and somehow me and my comp are playing with the church team ðŸ¤£. All of the other religions also entered in as teams so literally our first game is against the born agains. I'll update everyone if we win or not.

Espirtual na mga bagay sa aking mission:

We've had some good success here, especially considering the area and circumstances. We have a friend (Sister Grace) set to get baptized on may 2nd. Talaga such a big blessing for us here. She accepted and put herself on date instead of us putting a date on her. We also have a couple other people coming to church. We played basketball with these 2 kuya's (Brothers) then that week they came to church.

Have a great week,

1. I fell asleep on my kid during the boat ride
2. COOL GRAFFITI
3. BIKING
4. NASA RICE FIELD
